Have you ever tried to figure out how to make money online? If you have, you have probably come across numerous survey sites that promise to help you make a lot of money within a short period. Most of these survey sites claim to be better than the next one.
If you want to make good money from home, then survey sites could help you do this. However, you have to make sure you do your research about it.
This will help you know if it is a legitimate business. As you research, you have probably come across a site known as Survey Junkie. Is Survey Junkie a scam? No it is not but you should read on to see if this is what you want spend your time at. If you are going to spend this amount of time building your online business I recommend spending your time Here to make some worthwhile cash or full time paycheck.
What is Survey Junkie?
This is one of the oldest survey sites. It began in 2005. This means that they have more than ten years of experience with surveys. Survey Junkie prides itself in its over three million members. However, this site fails to disclose the number of members who are active.
How Does Survey Junkie Work?
The first thing you will have to do is make a profile. This takes a very short period. It includes answering questions about yourself and household. This information is supposed to help Survey Junkie know the surveys that work for you.
When you start your profile, you will start receiving surveys. You have two ways of accessing these surveys, they include:
(1) Checking your email and clicking the link that Survey Junkie sends to you
(2) Signing into your Survey Junkie account and view the sent surveys
Once the survey is complete, you earn points. This is how Survey Junkie works. You might be wondering if you will be able to quit your normal job and do this one full time. Survey Junkie will not help you make much, so do not quit your job just yet.
The site is very honest, it states in clear print that, “You will not get rich”. The price of each survey is different; the longer it is the more the payment after the completion. Nevertheless, an average survey could help you get about one to three dollars. This is not substantial but in comparison to other sites, this amount is very stable.
The payment depends on some factors such as the number of surveys that you are given. Most of the complaints about this site are that it gives out very few surveys. Thus, most people do not make as much as they want to.
The lucky ones get two or three surveys on a weekly basis. This means that if you are lucky enough to get a long survey that pays three dollars on a weekly basis then you might be lucky enough to get about twelve dollars every month.
Instead of rewarding their members with money, it offers them points. Each survey has a different set of points that range from twenty to two hundred. The positive thing about Survey Junkie is that you earn the points faster in comparison to other sites. The award is instant.
The points are visible in your account immediately when you are done with the survey. Other survey sites give out these awards after at least twenty-four hours. You can contact their customer support if your points fail to appear on the page immediately or within twenty-four hours.
The points are redeemable for gift cards. Alternatively, they can be changed to money that is accessible through PayPal account. The least amount that one can have to pay out the points is one thousand points. This equates to ten dollars. As long as you are active, your account will retain its points. Take at least one survey every month to retain its activity and points.
Pros of Survey Junkie:
It is easy to use. The design of the website is simple and clean. Even for people who are not technologically well informed, Survey Junkie is easy to manipulate and navigate. Creating a profile takes a few minutes.
You can cash your points. This is done through PayPal, which is the easiest way to change the points to money.
It has a minimum threshold to change the points to money. You only have to have ten dollars or one thousand points. This should not take you more than two months if you are determined.
It allows you to have access to your money without giving you thresholds. This means that it gives you the power over the money you earn.
Cons of Survey Junkie:
Many users have complained that their accounts were indefinitely closed. This account closing happened without any warning or reason. One day they logged into their account as usual only to find that it was unavailable. You need to be aware of this problem when joining Survey Junkie.
Some users complain of requesting their money and not receiving what they have requested. This seems to be a common issue with Survey Junkie. Some of the customers claim to have received their money after making complaints to customer service. In some cases, they failed to get the money they requested.
Customers have complained of receiving surveys that they fail to qualify. Most of the time, people do not know that they do not qualify for it until they access it. Customers have complained that this is a common problem with Survey Junkie.
Once you receive a link to a survey, you will get a set of questions that you will be expected to answer before you do the survey. If you answer wrongly, you are not allowed to take the survey. This is very frustrating for those people who want to get money fast. Nevertheless, this happens in most survey sites.
It is limited to New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Thus, people who do not live in these areas cannot join and access Survey Junkie. Do not let this discourage you; there are numerous sites that you can opt for.
Every person’s experience is different. Thus, just because one person’s story is negative it does not mean that yours will be too.

There are a few survey sites out there. This one doesn’t sound worth the effort. Thank you for the review. Surveys are definitely not a full or even part time job – so don’t quit your day job as you said lol. But it can be an easy thing to do in your spare time to earn a little extra cash! I personally use an app called I-Say. I’ve made at least $50 in one month. The perk of their site is they offer lots of surveys – some device specific and you can redeem for things like amazon or visa gift cards. You can redeem as low as $5 at a time or save and redeem for a larger payout. Check it out!
Lots of these sites out there yes, but it just seems to me I have to spend a lot of time making so few dollars when I can spend that time working on a site that will make me a lot more. If you are satisfied with a few bucks a month extra then it looks like you have found a site that works for you and that is great. All the best and thanks for the comment.
Thank you so much for sharing this review. Its very informative and exhaustive. Firstly, I am not surprised at all seeing the cons of survey junkie. Just like other survey sites, inability to get requested cashout is very rampant among them. I was a constant victim of this inhumane treatment from most survey sites. While reading the post in the earlier stage, I thought maybe this could be a better survey platform but No! Its like the others.
thanks
Your welcome and i’m happy you found the information helpful. I find that a lot of these survey sites are very misleading, thanks for the comment.
Kudos sharing this review on Survey Junkie. I must appreciate your efforts in putting this article together to share with us. Let me say I am not surprised that I saw the cons that people weren’t paid the amount they requested and some customers found their accounts closed indefinitely. Well I have had many experience about survey site that I wasn’t paid after doing my job, the site just went offline. Well Survey Junkie is not an exemption. Thanks for sharing this article.
Thank You for the comment, there are some problems with getting your money and I don’t like all the time spent for so little pay back. My thinking is if your going to spend all this time then put it into something that will show you a great return and Wealthy Affiliate is one place to check out for Free.
Hey wayne
Thanks for writing out this lovely article and I must say its a must for everyone to read and digest. I have always been curious about survey site but your post made it clear how dangerous it could be to join.i see survey as a waste of time that can yield to money. Joining wealthy affiliate rather is a good benefit.tjanks for the informative review
Your Welcome, you have to spend a lot of time for little money in surveys, affiliate marketing is a far better choice so if you have to spend the time why not work it into a full time income. Wealthy Affiliate is one of the best places to start.
Hey Wayne,
I’ve really enjoyed reading this article as you’ve provided us with tonnes of valuable information on Survey Junkie. I came across this platform many times in the past, and I was curious to see if it works. In simple words, it does work, but, as you mentioned in this blog, my own account got shut down as well.
From my perspective, I tend to think that they pay you for a couple of weeks just to gain your trust, but after sometime they delete your account for no reason.
Thanks a lot for taking your time in writing this detailed blog. Keep up the good work Wayne!
Your Welcome, Yes this can happen, getting your account deleted after working on it and trying to make it work for weeks can hurt but you will not be making decent money so go on to something else. Wealthy Affiliate is free and is a great place to build an online business for yourself.
I have always been curious about Survey Junkie but never got around to checking it out. I appreciate the way you point out the good points as well as the bad. If they have been around for ten years they must be doing something right. On the other hand, two months to make $10 isn’t going to help me or my retired friends. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity and saving me from wasted time!.
Your Welcome, that’s the problem way to much time for to little money. If you are going to invest all that time I would sooner put it toward something that will make me enough to top up my current income and if I want to make it into a full time income I can.
When it comes to a survey site reviews, I never red what kind of surveys are provided. How many questions are there, opened questions or multiple choice. What interest areas do surveys cover. It is important to know before signing in, as a person might be disappointed and frustrated after he experiences job details. I suggest to do a study case of several surveys. That would be interesting as nobody I came up on the net have done that.
The longer the survey the more money paid, what the surveys cover depends on what you put in your profile as they try to match you up with your uses, lifestyle Etc. it sort of depends on you.
Great review about survey junkie. Like most survey sites it is not what you can quit your day job for and I must say my experience with survey sites has not been palatable. Just like u stated the one of the cons to be unexpected closure of account,it was what happened to me with one of the survey sites I tried. All in all, it is still a good way to generate passive income for yourself. Thanks for this review.
Thanks for the comment, it seems to me like a lot of time invested for little return but it is a way to make a few dollars but to much time wasted for me.
